My Dad just ordered one. Next thing you know it he will be on facebook.
It's a Verizon program where you can get anywhere between $30-$100 extra credit for waiting to get a new phone after 2 years.
I preordered today. I verified before hand that it would be available with the NE2 discount.
I just talked to Verizon. They said you can get the NE2 at BBY. I am headed there this morning.
Someone on Dallas Craigslist is trying to sell a Samsung Instinct. They claim they upgraded to the Droid.
I think it will be good to offer the Eris also. As long as the price fits. A Sholes/Droid for me.
Did anyone see anything about the dock. BGR mentioned it in there hands on. I am very curious about it since I use my phone as my bedside clock. I was hoping for a picture or a mention, but I did not see either in the pages.
One thing to note is this does have a separate CPU/GPU for graphics, but it is not going to be clocked at 550 Mhz. It will be clocked at 400 or below. I am not saying that as a bad thing. It is just good to note.
Hmm. Should I go buy a carrying case for a phone I have not bought yet?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
