Hey guys. Contrary to the Engadget post, it's not ALL BlackJacks manufactured between November 2006 and February 2007. It is a small number of devices. You can determine your manufacture date on the lower right side of the identification sticker on the battery compartment in the YY.MM. format.

For those who fall in this range and are experiencing the antenna problem can contact AT&T's Exchange by Mail program at 1-800-801-1101. Not all individuals with phones manufactured between the dates need to contact AT&T, only those who are experiencing the antenna problems.

Thanks for the nice mini-review of the Juke Cinderbloke.

You may think it is retarded, but the target audience (teens and tweens) really enjoys stylish phones like this.

Samsung makes phones to cater to the needs of ALL consumers, not just the tech-heavy crowd that readily reads and comments on Engadget Mobile.

It's actually not as thick as the pictures make it seem. Go check out some of the hands-on videos on Youtube and the like.

Also, the sale price IS $100 with a Verizon contract.

I really don't think any company took a step backwards. The enV is dominantly a messaging phone, as apparent with the QWERTY keyboard. The Juke is a style and music phone. They are in two different categories and not fit for direct comparison.

It's babysteps, Mark. This is one of the first U.S. phones that does not have Samsung's proprietary adapter for headphones. Rather this has the mini-jack which is at least a little more standard. A lot of the European phones use the standard 3.5mm jacks, so it is only time before the conversion happens over here.

Just because it is a new smartphone for AT&T doesn't mean it should be automatically compared to the iPhone.

I'll be the first to admit that the iPhone is quite the media phone, but the Blackjack II is completely different. Windows Mobile 6, full QWERTY, video share, 3G, etc. The Blackjack II isn't even in the same category as the iPhone.

It's like an automobile reviewer comparing a sedan to an all-terrain vehicle to a motorcycle. It just doesn't happen.

At 1.9 inches wide, 3.5 inches tall and .8 inches thick I wouldn't necessarily call the Samsung T409 (one of the supported @home phones) a brick.
