Clear Channel is a monopoly in many markets (controlling radio, billboards, etc) and has deliberately kept some programming off the air because of the political affiliations of its board and yet now they're crying foul?

Sorry CC, I have no tears for you.
Unfortunately, Verizon Wireless will need 20 years to test the phones to make sure they are released without any "bugs" as they are SO focused on customer service and quality.
Available in September, no October, no Q1 2008, oops, 2009 ...
Way to rant about something no one is complaining about :)

We WANT to be with Verizon. We just want their GD phones that were announced 3 quarters ago.
I agree. Too bad it's going to be DECEMBER before we see any kind of decent WM6 selection.
Unfortunately, the XV6800 seems to be MONTHS away :(
How can anyone take VzW seriously as a carrier for business when they can't get new phones out anywhere NEAR their initial projections? I love when I see announcements from old Engadget articles about phones from almost a YEAR ago and they still aren't out yet.

If VzW is going to have their heads buried in their 4th point of contact the LEAST they could do is provide a means of upgrading the OS on our phones that we paid $$ for ... Without blowing them up (see: April update).
They could fix that by not being donkeys and allow OS upgrades to their phones.

*gasp*

Too sensible?
I am so bitter. The SMT5800 is about a year late. The Treo isn't out until November? For cryin' out loud ...

And Verizon changed the XV6800 enough from what Sprint has to make it ugly. Congratulations Verizon. Maybe they should call Sony about how to launch products.
GD Verizon ... Roll out some serious WM6 phones already! Jeezus. It's like pulling teeth. If I have to go another month with a WM5 Q I'm going to throw it off a building. Where's the Treo 755? Where's ANY WM6 phone?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
