The Fujitsu P2010 is an awesome device. I have had the Lenovo X41, X60, X61, used the Toshiba devices, although not touched the HP ones or the new Dell one. The Futjitsu blows them all away. The Thinkpad has the best keyboard, but only by a small amount over the P2010. Small, light, 9+hrs of batt life w/ agressive power settings in Vista, or 6+ with everything absolutely maxed. Oh, and the screen is utterly brilliant. At 1/2 brightness it is brighter than a maxed Thinkpad X61 Tablet, or Thinkpad X300 or any Macbook Pro except I havent tested it against the new one. I've compared them all side by side.

Drawbacks are a ULV processor and no internal drive. Basically, if it is going to be your primary machine, take a solid look at these drawbacks. If it is going to be, like I use it, your get-up-and-go machine but you have a desktop for the heavy lifting, its a great choice.

True. But I have a treo 700W (that is falling apart) currently, so I'm used to it. Plus, if it does rev.A that's even better.

Yeah, verizon is always late, but i'm getting close to having to give up and get an SCHi760 or something... my treo is on its last legs.

The original post is a bit misleading. This does offer a dual core processor option. You can get a pre-installed 9-in-1 media reader OR a floppy drive. It is not meant for most readers here.

We are seriously looking at buying 15 of them to use as classroom instructor stations. They are small and compact, faster by a lot than a laptop but use little more space, and have all the connectivity options you could ask for.

We have two of the 4 series and they have been rock solid for four years. Reliable and bulletproof.

I just specced out a system with a dual core, 19" LCD, 1GB ram, wireless, etc for around $1500 with a 4 year warranty. That is really not bad at all.
