i like what i see in the touch pro--and i can live without a dedicated audio port--but where's the north america friendly hspa bands!?
does it have VGA? what's the processor? what gsm/3g bands?

pending some of those questions answered, and...

as soon as i-mate gets around to putting microSDHC and WM6.1 on my 9502 it will still be king over this ASUS (in my opinion).
whatever it is, it had better be:

VGA or better
HSPA or better
500MHz or better
256MB ram or better
8GB flash or better
GPS
SDHC

i'm sick of under-spec'd crap. i really do believe the m$ win mobile os can really perform... if the hardware could really push it.
QVGA? aaaaaaaaaahhhg!
looks like we only have 2 more weeks of waiting (according to mobileplanet)...

i have asked E-Ten about possible microSDHC support but have not heard back. maybe X800+ will do microSDHC and have more RAM. we can hope. (but i won't wait--meaning i'll get the X800 now and upgrade to X800+, or some competing device, when such an upgrade exists)
if this rumored info is accurate, and after having played with a 3G
phone connection, this would really be a bad blow to the polaris to be
2100MHz band only (high speed data not supported in US).

i'd rather have the less-ram/bloody-eye glofiish with tri-band 3G.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
