Well since it's US only launch and older models are being phased out I don't see a future for Zune outside of the states. Which is a real shame since I own a red 120 gig. I've put up with a lack of marketplace and with the small amount of supported routers and their pretty lame Zune customer service but this is the last straw. I kinda hope this fails if they don't make a non-US launch.
So wait will they still honor their 1 year waranty for non US areas as we won't be getting the HD. Otherwise i'm getting screwed if my 120 gig red breaks.
I disagree with people saying that people have other choices to Itunes to buy music digitally. To my knowledge most of the DRM free content is sold through Itunes or through Amazon (which is only available in the US). I think Rhapsody has the option too but as far as I know its not for use in Canada either. With Apple picking and choosing who can and can't use itunes it makes it hard for those not living in the US.
IS this just me or is this some sort of shopped Voodoo Omen 133?
Yes finally Barbie has a laptop! Hey Toshiba, this could be the cross branding opportunity of a life time.
I have one of the basic aspire ones and for the price the thing is damn good. It doesn't have the wind's function list but I doubt that is a fair comparison at all (at nearly 500+ you'll be getting a lot more). Maybe after the Dell comes out then we'll see.
Canada computers has changed its prices to reflect the suggested price (it was 10 bucks more) and taken the "deal" on ram installation off their site. I've seen the photos and am wondering how difficult it is to install more ram into that one open ram slot. I don't want to crack open my new baby...(and perhaps break it). I wonder if anyone is gonna post a Ram install tutorial (or maybe i'm just a noob(
Is it just me or does this thing look like the Palm Centro. it's one thing to have a funny looking smartphone but it's another to copy a bad looking smartphone. Not to say that I am but, the center of this unit and the centro looks similar in my opinion.
It seems to have been taken down from both the US and Canadian NCIX sites. Why is that?
I had a treo 650 on telus and it was the worst phone I have ever owned. The store that sold it to me nor palm had any idea what to do with the phone when it came to repairs and service. I have to say if there phones are as buggy as the 650 I don't think i'll ever own another one. I own an HTC p4000 now and it has been the best phone I have ever owned.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
