This TUAW post is crashing the TUAW app on my iPhone
I want a Samsung 1590 or 1600 player because of the extras but I really want one with Wifi. Alas, that's closer to $200, not $100. (the insignia for $130 this week would've been a good pick too).

Hope I win. Favorite song is either the Waitresses' Christmas Wrapping or Father Christmas by the Kinks.
Here's hoping I win
$5 is a little rich for my blood. $1 would've been a no brainer... $3 would be pushing it.
IR because there are more IR remotes than bluetooth. If you like the bluetooth remote, have at it and use it instead but I want to use my harmony remote.
hoping there's a netbook version of this.
I was always curious and interested about the 2wire device... seemed to have a fair amount of potential but it sounds like it's fizzled into nothingness.

Glad to see this finally hit my Tivo though I don't think I'll use it much.
65% of the market is "going away"?
Pressed blu-ray discs that held more data which would mean less need for multiple discs would be welcome if the reliability was there but I get the feeling we won't see these for a long time.

As for burned media... do blu-rays have the same issues DVD does? That is, you have to use quality media to get a burn that lasts a while (and even those can degrade over time)?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
