hey awin,

obviously you havent traveled much...check your facts..its not only in the US is unlocking legal...
please dont mis inform people.
surely there some countries here that does not allow it, but to say outside the US is surely thell more about you...than the unlocking laws or your skills

yup its a case of stealing the thunder, i guess some people arent comfy with the others who seems to be really hacked the phone. how in the world did those silicon lawyers manage to call you, at midnight, some over time stuff.

it does not say anything good on you guys, you cant even make your own phone number secret...

are you guys listed as iphone hackrs r us in the yellow pages...

you just full of airs!!!
there are millions of other blogs there, no one forced you to stick around.if you dont like it please move somewhere else, nothing personal. if you like it here, why not start something new yourself!!!instead of complaining.

unless of course this is one way for you to get some attention?then your no better than your complaint.
it is not illegal per se to unlock phones here, its not like songs that legally your not allowed to use it in public...

but bringing unlock phones anywhere here,(i carry 3unlocked)is not an issue, if there is an actual EU law, then its not fully enforced.

in some countries, you are not going to a business permit to open a unlocking business...but the other smaller phone stores does that on the side.

unlocking the iphone is great news for everyone even i guess to apple, imagine they will be freed from liability from their exclusive carriers and create this informal market for their phones.

remember, the more phones sold the more profits for them.at the end the carrier will be stuck with huge royalty like payments to apple while the pile of AWOL subscribers would mount.

just be carefull in the scandinavia countries as they are very rigid with enforcement, sometimes you get into trouble while in possession of stuff that unlock computers.

what i do is simply reinstall it once i get in.

kudos to the team the unlock it!!!
hi, i unlock phones here in the EU,not just in one country, but not full time, its like being presented with a puzzle, specially on new phones.

in most countries here, its not a big issue to bring personal phones that are unlock(i use 3phones all unlocked)through airports and customs but its not a problem. to use them, like buying local sims is not illegal.

however local telcos may complain about anyone who does unlocking on a grand scale. but there is no actual EU law that prohibits unlocking per se. because, your not actually infringing on anything...

we are just really turning off switches in the phone so that it would run on other networks...its not like making phones and passing them up as the real thing. nor we rename them at all.

the only thing that would affect the phones is tinkered physically is the warranty.

for now its prefectly legal to unlock phones and if there is a actual law, then its not being enforced.

honestly, apple would pretend to frown on this but privately they will be happy because it absolves them on any liability with their exclusive contract to carriers but it will boost sales of their phones as well. which is where the profits comes in.

the only snag is that where does the current contracts of the unlock phones end up?subscribers will still be charged on that.

any solutions on that one? im all ears and will make a statue for that person.

cheers from the EU!!!

"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
