sorry, onstar is not a "satellite service" is uses verizon phones built into every module to place calls to the onstar call center. the only times satellites would be used for onstar service is if verizon routes the call through satellite, and naturally, the gps data for the vehicle comes via satellite. other than that, onstar works in a similar fashion to SYNC, except with SYNC, the driver brings their own phone with their own phone number to the vehicle. with onstar, you get a new phone number because you have another phone.
c'mon santa!!!!
Also, a another shout out for the poor journalism. if you're going to have the tag line, "obsessively covering the auto industry," you should know that Ford reported earnings at 7AM EST, and that they reported a profit.
Jay,

Based on Ford's restructuring plan, many of their vehicles will be made on global platforms and could be produced anywhere in the world. If the the EU-USD conversion rate continues favoring the Euro, it would pay off to produce European vehicles in the US and ship them over seas.

Good for Ford, this is a great result.
My entire family lives in Poland (I live in the US) and I wouldn't ever dream of driving on the roads there. Polish people are crazy when they're driving, and many of the roads cannot support much more than 80-100 kph, although Poles routinely push 180 in their 15 year old "cars"

Also, thanks for calling it "the Poland," we deserve a "the" in front of the name.
You should get your eyes checked if you think that sketch or concept looks anything like the RAV4.
This car is incredible...I'll take one, eh, make that two, one to just sit and look pretty, and the other to drive.
I used to drive an 87 Mercedes...the lincoln interior is nearly 2 to 3 times better.

Stop being so critical of the interior. I think we can ALL agree its BETTER than former Lincolns and puts it on par or just below par of other luxury vehicles.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
