Why did they even release the current generation of nanos. This new design looks like what this line should have looked like. Seems as if apple can't settle on a direction.
I am so confused. Just name then 1,2,3 ect. PLEASE!
I had my friend call the number provided earlier in this post:

MAV @ Aug 6th 2008 6:04PM
I called directly and they have a memo about this deal. Although now it states 449 on the website you can still get the deal if you call directly. I am working with Maria at 18003573355 ext:7244161

And they gave him the run around. I told him to complain about not being able to purchase it and how it was messed up how he had it in his cart and when he went to check out they had changed the price. They transferred him 5 times and told him that they would not be able to give him the price because they lacked the authority. At this point he threatened to call the Better Business Bureau and complain about false and misleading advertising. He let them know that he has been a Dell customer for years and that he felt cheated and mislead. They apologized but said that n they could not do anything and that it was a technical error on the web designers side. That was all this morning but a few minutes ago Maria at Dell called him back and told him that because of the large amount of calls that are being made in regards to this issue; they are petitioning to sell it to those who called. Please call the number mentioned in MAV’s post and press the issue. Let them know that around 3:00 pm EST yesterday you had the xbox in your cart and upon trying to purchase it the price reset.

let me know if you have any questions.

There is really never a "need" for anything like this.

People Jailbreak their devices because the App Store still doesn't provide things that can be attained through Jailbroken solutions. Apps on Cydia are able to do such things as run in the background and access areas of the iphone that official apps cannot. Such is the case with things like TapTap or Agile mobile vs the Official AIM app.

Even in the case of installing themes it is necessary to jailbreak the iphone to do anything. Apple will not allow any official GUI alterations. Anyone care to add?
According to you guys, is there any chance some of these will fall off of a truck in Miami for Tmobile customers?

Without switching, what do u recommend Tmobilers do?
And so it begins...

Is anyone else a tmobile customer and just waiting to find a reasonable way to get ur hands on one to unlock?
A few weeks ago I spoke to T-Mobile reps both on the phone and in store and they have confirmed this for me.

Thing is, will they charge extra for 3g even if you already have a tmobile unlimited data plan? Seems like keeping the same rates for a free upgrade for current customers would be a nice incentive to keep people from jumping ship.
Can someone then please let me know if you can just purchase the iphone as a new customer, sign up for a plan and then cancel and keep the iphone for the $175 charge plus the $200 phone?
Well,no im not willing to be a test but they already unlocked 2.0 and the hardware is almost identical. There is no reason to think that Apple and ATT all of a sudden developed an unhackable device. The method they are using to prevent the unlocking is the in-store activation.
So here is my question if anyone can help me out.

I am a tmobile shadow user. Lets say I wanna go an buy the iphone in att and sign up for a new plan. I get the 8 gig for $200 and then at the end of that month cancel my contract for $175. Boom done, I keep my iphone for $375 total and unlock it for my tmobile plan?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
