@(Unverified) Haha, I seem to remember thinking that exact same thing last year.
No, I'm talking about Chrome the browser, not the OS.
Every time I see Engadget post on software I want to throttle them for not posting about chrome.

WinMo? I thought 6.5 was going to be 'Windows Phone'
Not exactly a fan of apple but they do make nice stuff...

And just so you know this phone would be jailbroken and crashing AT&Ts network before I completely got it out of the box...
I would reccomend a Olympus E-520. Roughly $400 on ebay will get you one brand new with a kit lens. A few hundred more and you can get a pretty nice telephoto lens. Compared to similar cameras in it's price range, the E-520 has a wealth of features and from all of the reviews I have read performs very well.

Just as a side-note, I have never owned this camera, or any other SLR for that matter, but, as someone also looking for a budget SLR that's what I have found so far.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
