To be accurate, the population of Long Island includes a portion of New York City (Brooklyn and Queens). They overlap. As of the 2000 census, 4.69 million of the population of 7.45 million of Long Island was composed of New York City's portion. That would make 2.76 million non-NYC. Add that 2.76 million to the NYC population of 8.01 million as of the 2000 census, and you get 10.77 million.

Not disputing any of your other comments, just clarifying on the population.
The new plate color scheme will go just peachy with my black Pontiac G8.

The DMV's Web site says the custom picture plates will not be included in the plate reissuance program until later on in 2010. I may just finally purchase that New York Yankees plate after all to stay away from these hideous plates for just a little longer.

And to clarify, according to the DMV Q&A, if you have a vanity plate number, you do NOT need to pay the additional $20 to keep your plate number. The $20 would only be for those who wish to keep their current, state-issued plate number.
There's also some Windows Mobile programs out there like this, although I don't know if any use the camera. Some of them use their own mapping, and some can save a position in Google Maps. I also believe there's a hanful of other iPhone parked car apps. My guess is the difference is those do not use the camera.

Can't speak for Palm, Blackberry or Android.
You lost the evolution contest.
Does this finally mean a decent cosmetic upgrade?
He actually offered $10 million. But it was rejected because he unofficially put a stipulation that the U.S. provide a more balanced view of Middle-East politics. I think he actually wanted less support for Israel. That's not necessarily something I personally support. He may have meant it to be a gesture, but I don't think accepting conditions like that right after the attacks was something the U.S. wanted to do.
That's right, it's Al-Waleed bin Talal, the "Arabian Warren Buffet". He also owns a 10% share in Euro Disney SCA, that operates Disney Paris. There's a majority owned by Disney, but it is not related to ABC in any way. He is also a big philanthropist and is a promoter of women's rights in Saudi Arabia.
Company policies. Employees can be fired for reasons other than committing an illegal act. He was representing the company in a negative way. I'm not sure what their employee relationship policy is, but I can tell you for sure that they have a statement in their employee policy that you most conduct yourself in a professional manner, on and off the camera.
Yeah, this really fits in with Infiniti's brand image...
Registration stickers. Not inspection. Fail!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
