Right now, I have a netbook for my portable, this would be awesome.
"Judged purely on its own merits, $30 is a pretty smashing price for this handset, but in two years when that hefty Verizon contract is up it's probably going to seem even more outdated by new versions of Android and faster processors than it does now."

You know, Verizon will still sell you a BlackBerry 8700 for $30.
I could use one of these.
Stuck with a Curve 8330. Do Want.
@mrklaw I think a lot of it has to do with accuracy. The Zune has had this feature since version 3 using RDS, but being able to find the correct song was hit and miss because of inconsistent tagging on the radio station's behalf. That said, the HD radio in the Zune HD is almost always right, when the station is broadcasting in HD.
Why don't they just copy/paste the keyboard code they worked into the Zune HD? Why is Microsoft's mobile division so clueless when entertainment and devices is churning out world-class devices?
That's probably the single best KIRF I've seen on this site. Remove the Apple branding and sell it in the States!
He did that to a Dev Kit!?
@(Unverified) Blackberries aim to the older sort. Plus, when I saw the droid, I really wanted to toss my 8330 in the trash. Sadly, this isn't happening for another year and a half.
Not a fan of the serif font choice, but the rest looks nice. Can we go back to sans-serif where serif is now used?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
