Google knew the name belonged to someone else - in the technology field, no less - and was denied trademark, but still went ahead?

Yeah, Mr Specht is getting some money out of these people.

Well considering these devices - with proper HSDPA - have been available in other parts of the world - including Australia - for nearly a month now, I'm beginning to think the problem may not so much be the device so much as the network.....
I'm more likely to want a ride in a W427 if I'm drunk then one of these things.

I can only suggest that the shame of being driven around in the back of one is these is deterrent enough for most people.
Both vehicle's safety cells did their jobs independantly. because the chassis rails of the Q7 are higher than the 500's, they obviously didn't share the load as both vehicles were intended to.

This problem has been raised by many organisations in the past. I remember the Volvo XC90 has been designed with low-set chassis rails so that they can connect properly with a car should the worst happen.

Regardless, both vehicle's protected their passengers using the structural rigidity of the vehicle.
It seems a couple of bad things happened to the Fiat 500. Firstly the door deformed, which means in an accident it's going to be difficult to get the driver & passengers out for medical treatment.

The second thing was that the airbag seemed to burst just after the driver was about 1/2 way through his foward thrust. That is, it receives the blow from the driver, and then the entire car is thrust backwards & the steering wheel into the drivers face by the momentum of the Q7.

Other than that, that 500 is a remarkably tough little beast.
How is this news? the i780 (upon which the i788....Blackjack III, is based) has been around forever & a day it seems.

Vodafone Australia have been selling them for nearly 2 months now.
Well I don't know about you but my K850 was purchased a month after it was released in Australia. In January '08.

I get the feeling they'll keep the schedule :)
Yar. there be awesome prizes.
Everytime you guys refer to this as the 3G iPod i get excited - thinking of the 3G network enabled iPod....

Seriously though....It's like Apple realised that the Touch is essentially competing for the same sales as this model and just decided to make this hella, hella ugly so as not to have internal competition.

Having Bluetooth on this particular iPod would almost make up for the lack of Gb's.

almost.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
