"I'm guessing it's a problem they have deemed unfixable without throwing out some giant core peice of code."
Ah, exactly why I'm jumping ship to Mac OS Leapord and a Macbook Pro, I'll put Vista on it for Crysis but that's all as the problems Vista has are a lot and I can't be arsed with it anymore, what I do with my PC has changed and I don't need Windows anymore - apart from for Crysis but it MAY come out for the Mac seeing as Gears Of War is? But it's the same old story, wait a year or two before buying any new MS OS as it may be stable by then.
We DO like Apple products, just don't like or think much of the iPhone as it's crap, far far far better and cheaper phones floaded in the UK market as it is and most with 3G.
IMO the UK iPhone launch is an utter joke, at £269 it's nearly the most expensive phone available on ANY tariff. That price does NOT drop as the tariffs increase in price. It's using EDGE WTF???? This is the UK NOT the US, the carriers have spent billions on 3G in the UK and I'll bet 50 pounds O2 don't increase their EDGE network one bit cuase Apple also announced a 3G iPhone is out next year. And O2's hotspots are few and far between, as for the rest hotspots are not very common or free or fast in the UK. Only the gadget freaks and total Apple fanboy's will buy this one, everybody else will use their brains and common sense and buy an iTouch iPod and any other phone for a lot less money. I would never touch an iPhone as I can't run Tom Tom on it and would NEVER pay that much for any phone on a new contract.
*********You have to remember... this is the same company that once produced a machine that would get hot enough for the chips to break free of the solder and board, the solution was to pick the unit up hold it about 2 feet from the surface it was on and drop it to pop the chips back in place.***********
Hmmmm, now what main competitor to Apple you all love and know makes a product with EXACTLY the same problem? Oooohhhh, could it be Microsoft? Nearly EVERYTHING electronic is made in China or Taiwan, good on em as those countries are making a killing cuase their cheap. If Europe or the US were cheaper places to live in then the products would be cheap to make here their too. This IS scaremongering as the numbers affected are absolutly tiny compared to the Xbox 360's failure rate and let's not all forget the Sony battery fiasco and NOW the Nokia battery fiasco. Remember no matter what product you have, if it uses a modern rechargable battery is a dangerous explosive product, the power they pack in the more dangerous they become. Bring on the fuel cells.
Man this is pathetic, if you look on Intels website, you'll see and no doubt remember, that Intel actually used the registered name of Core Duo for it's dual core CPU's and now of course their Core 2 Duo's. I don't think Intel has used Dual Core ONCE for it's nameing of CPU's exculisively to themselves, as said above it's the industry wide term, I suspect because Intel calls it's processors Dual Core as they are indeed Dual Core as named by the industry the sad little men at DualCor with no sex life to speak of what so ever feel the right to sue, look's like they haven't done any homework on this what so ever and a Judge will no doubt laugh his ass of at them trying to sue.
Well, why oh why do you guy's on engadget and you guy's posting here call the picture above ugly? You've NEVER seen the new iPod Nanao yet all of a sudden everybody is a design expert who knows that WILL be the new Nano. The only evidence you have is Applue supposedly making the websites take the flower picture down, that could be one of 50 different Nano designs if it's official at all. Before people start calling it 'iPod Phatty'! and ugly and rubbush, instead engage the grey matter and WAIT until it's been launched eh?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
