Apparently no one has ever played one of these versions (i'm not surprised). It's not button mashing..it's about the strategy of the race. People don't win the Tour de France just because they can last the longest pedaling. There is an intense amount of strategy that is involved to maximize the output while relying on the fact that the riders are only human and their are peaks and valleys of performance...

anyways I digress....no button mashing..only strategy on telling your guys when to push hard and when to rest up in the Peloton.

It's a fun game if you care about the sport...if not, then just move on instead of spewing off worthless crap wasting peoples time...but hey , i guess that's what the internet is used for...so i can't win.
Happy birthday!!
My BlackBerry 8330 (Verizon) downloaded the new version (went to google.com/gmm on the browser) and it works perfectly. I agree with the above post that the Street View doesn't seem very useful, but it is cool looking.
I haven't played either, but going by experience I'd go with Madden 09. I had NCAA 08 and had to exchange it 3 times because I would constantly get "Disc Unreadable" errors. I haven't tried this years release, but have heard rumblings on the interwebs that the same thing is happening. From what I understand, NCAA always got the last years Madden engine anyways. Wayne, I would go with Madden baby! can't wait to get mine after work.
2nd time's a charm! Thanks again.
X3F you guys rock. I played the beta but want to see if there are any improvements. Thanks again
Just to let everyone know, since I just spent the time to find out for myself. If you are already a Verizon Wireless customer and are upgrading your phone, even with a 2-year new contract, the price is $319.99 THERE IS NO $100 ONLINE DISCOUNT (according to the LivePerson Chat I just had on the Verizon website). The discount apparently is for new customers only. There is still the possibility of an Advance Phone Credit if you have a data and voice plan over a certain amount of money, so hopefully that'll bring it down to $219.99 for us return customers...anyways, hope this helps someone.
I'd do something that hasn't been mentioned yet in these 1000 posts...not sure what it is though.
Virgin Atlantic & Happy Birthday FTW
You guys who think we (people who bought the game at launch and played the beta) got screwed are also forgetting that there is a need for incentives for people who have not been playing for over 4 months. Yes we bought it early and paid $60 and are now going to pay $10 more dollars, but we are not the target audience for any specials. It is clear that we love the game and are going to continue to play it. For the people that have not bought it after 4 months, there is a reason to have incentives for. Obviously the reason Activision exists is to sell games to make money. If they are good games then they are all good, if not, then they go bankrupt. Just let them give incentives to people who haven't bought the game yet to try and expand the community and just be thankful that there are new maps. Remember Nintendo (NES)? Do you remember being able to buy new levels or maps for those games? Times change and so does the market.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
