doesn't break pwnage or jailbreaks!
Except the iPhone doesn't have the option of a user-replaceable battery, which would lend to larger capacity batteries or carrying a spare. Not only that, the push email seems to be a HUGE drain on battery, as I have been able to go a lot longer with fetch enabled instead of push! It's just sad when I get about three hours of usage and 8 hours of standby on a full charge :(
How about battery life? Any improvements?
Maybe foxconn (the rumored 3G iphone producer and current 2.5G iphone producer) can't handle production of both units, or stopped producing the 2.5G iphone already, to ramp up production of the 3G model?
T-Mobile....so much potential....so little provided!
And you can expect an update from apple maybee.....tuesday? What is the point in doing this now that we all clearly know Apple will find a way to lock the handset back down?
Oh yeah I can't wait to jailbreak my iphone again for some third party applications....then risk bricking it it again......that makes a lot of sense....
tried this and works great over local network...but doesnt seem to play well over the web ie lots of buffering etc...any suggestions?
The "wifi access" feature seems to work great when you're on the local network, but over the internet, even with an 8mb down/2mb up cable connection, the video freezes frequently. Anyone else observe this?
Well Apple has done the "Apple" thing and made the customer happy....regardless of what Apple and Steve feels is right. This only goes to show how unique a company like Apple is in corporate America.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
