Right now I would go with Windows Home server plus the XBox 360 as a Media Center Extender above anything else. Windows 7 plays DivX/Xvid right out of the box, I have yet to experience an unplayable file.
That remote appears to be identical to the one that came with the LinkSys DMA2200 Media Center Extender. It's not well made at all: the buttons are very small (except the Media Center button) and does not include any sort of backlight/glowing. It's impossible to use in the dark.
My last Sprint phone (Moto Q9c) had a horrible problem with dust collecting under the screen. Seems odd that now an HTC phone on the same carrier has the same problem. I have an HTC phone now (G1) and I've never had dust problems with it.
I love my G1... having said that, this is the first Android phone since the G1 I've seen that I would seriously consider as a replacement (going on looks at least).
It does seem a little suspect. I haven't seen the dissected version of the phone, but assuming a specific component overheated, wouldn't the discoloration be more focused?

I have a G1 and when the processor gets taxed the bottom part of the phone gets hot in one specific place (behind the chin), not all over the phone.

Would this type of damage make sense with the internal layout of the phone?
My falcon rrod'ed last week and I definitely wasn't given a box option. The instructions said explicitly to pack it up myself and not use the original box since I wouldn't get back. I'm still surprised about the rrod... I specifically bought a falcon to avoid it.
We definitely have a winner. I'm just going to stop reading right here.
I don't care about points, but I just gained a few inches!
Can't say that I like the new button layout so much. The menu button is used pretty heavily, even on Cupcake. Same for the back button - although I do like that they're raised a little.
Three pages and not a single Pillar of Autumn crack?

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
