Hey I wonder if my PS3 will report that 3.0 bricked my Blu-Ray drive. When the lawsuits start hitting Sony they will have to disclose all of the data on systems that reported getting screwed up right after a FW update. Sony, you just screwed yourself.
Sony, you goin' down!

40gb Spider Man bundle, 3.0 killed my BD drive.

The arrogance with which they have handled this makes them deserve to get their ass handed to them. I am personally waiting to see if the next firmware update fixes it but if it doesn't then IT IS ON. In the meantime, I don't mind if Sony gets thrown to the dogs over this, since they claim no responsibility so a FW fix is unlikely.
My BD drive started crashing games after 3.0 and eventually would no longer load games. IMO I think the FW update changed something with the BD drives that caused them to slowly deteriorate and break, and they are permanently broken and can't be fixed with a patch, so Sony just decided to not own up to it.
As dissapointed as I am with Sony, I am MORE dissapointed with the Sony fanboys who this DIDN'T affect, because instead of coming to our aid they are screaming Witch and saying we are all 360 fanboys perperating a hoax to give Sony a bad name.
Yes, a firmware update CAN break hardware.
For every person that took the time to complain about this online, statistically there would be a ton of people who were affected but didn't log into a forum to complain. So don't give me BS about statistically this only hit 50 people.
This sickens me and I will never buy a Sony product again. The end.
Ooh, misleading headline. Made it sound like you could buy it early.
PATCH THE CONTROLS
I agree with the strategy. Psychologically a one-time hit is preferable to looking at your monthly expenses then saying 'I am paying as much for this as I am for my water bill per month?' Its easier to spend the money before it gets burned up by something else rather than add even more to your future monthly bills.
This is the first GH title I will probably buy. I've been RB all the way but if GH can offer enough songs I want that I can't get on RB, then they've got my money...
Is it just me or does it seem like the Beatles think they are too good to be with the rest of the music canon. They have to have their own separate game, and they are too good for itunes, etc. They are an influential band and I listened to them in highschool but I've moved on...
...Still no cure for cancer.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
