Well I have the same issue with the MP3's and MPEG's and can't seem to figure out how to get the "Convert to AAC" option to show up. You said you changed it in your settings, but I can't find that. Where and how do I go about it?

I thought I could outsmart iTunes (haha...) by just finding a file that was already AAC and shortening the time, copying to my desktop, rename... but it wouldn't add it into my iTunes after all that either. I don't know what seems to be the problem.
I don't have the Genius function on my iPhone after the 2.1 sync even though my Genius has been enabled snce 8 came out the other day.

And I don't see the new feature with the text message either... having it be able to beep at you again if you don't hear it the 1st time. Where is that?

Stupid update.
I've got it to learn Flickr. I could never remember my name (Niki)... always made my Niko or Nike. So, I added my name to my address book and now it pulls it up everytime!
YES YES YES!!! TiVo app pleeeease! With a cherry on top!

And, consider me an old kid, but I'd kinda like to tinker around with some sort of Tamagotchi app. The furry thing they already have in the app store is lame.
I renamed the duplicate file but when I double click it it doesn't show up in iTunes at all. Why? Do I need to save the duplicate copy to somewhere special? I don't get any of this ringtone business!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
