I almost forgot... the most important app MS Voice Command. Just tell you phone what to do and it goes to work.
You should always be ABLE to change it! Otherwise it's just another brick in your hand.
Why are you comparing the iPhone, which has no VoIP at all in a Windows Mobile article about Skype anyway?

My HTC Touch is sexy inside and out, has way faster internet than anything ATT, much smaller than the iPhone, and it runs tomtom nav, office mobile 2007, live search, SprintTV, opera, skyfire (who needs an external you tube player?), core player (any codec you need), a wonderful built-in email, calendar and contact program called -outlook mobile- (iPhone's sucks hard!! thankfully there are some after market alternitives), oh and it -easily- syncs to my PC and remote exchange server, and without any iTunes or any such media player needed. Why should one ever use a media player to sync mail and contacts. ActiveSync syncs my media files just fine without using WMP. Wait why would I buy a phone that I can't even remove the battery from? I feel sorry for my colleagues that have iPhones, they drool over my touch daily.
It doesn't work on my Sprint HTC Touch. Well... it gets past the login screen finally and i can chat. My skype out and skype in both have no Audio either way.
This is really an issue of ethics, not performance. I would rather "trust" a company, who doesn't practice dirty tricks like Intel or M$, with my money.

Intel and Microsoft are just names that have been sold to unsuspecting buyers. Sadly much of the world buys what's popular, just because it's popular.

(Note: this was posted from a Linux/AMD machine =P )
Not only is it not a large enough sample but how many of those 10 are apple users? How many watched the how-to iPhone commercials?

The touch can't even be purchaced in
the US (unless through 'i need to have it' sources [which the average american wouldn't know about or consider]) and it's interface is slanted heavily toward the euro user. My MDA was waaay different in interface than any of the euro ones.

The N90 is extremely feature rich, which makes it a bit more difficult to use. Mutimedia powerhouse!

This is just like the PC vs Linux vs MAC.

MAC = So easy an idiot can do it, but will piss off anyone with any intelegence.

Linux = For elitest, so difficult, yet so powerful and features up the yang. So much free software who knows what it all does.

Windows = Good balance between ease of use and features. Has great aftermarket software following (written by people who get paid for it). Easy for the layman powerful enough for the expert. Not good enough for the elite and not easy enough for the idiot.

They all have a niche! ;)

The Nokia logo looks either very old or not authentic. My Nokia logos, even on my old brick phone have some rounded corners on the letters.
In WA they passed a bill banning text messaging and driving for everyone. Many accidents like yours have happened!
I agree its a stupid thing to do, but most people 8-30 are text message addicted, myself included. I usually ask a passenger to read them I might read at a stop light and respond later.
Well in my neighboring state (OR) they disallow driving with passengers until 18. How then is this much different? The idea is making sure they have a few years experience driving before they add more distractions. An experienced driver can handle many distractions while still keeping the car under control. My friend Tom used to say "My Dad could fiddle with the radio, eat, turn on the windshield wipers, yell at us, and swat at us in the back seat with a newspaper all while driving." Granted this is an exaggeration but any one of these things alone can and has easily caused a teenager to wreck. I have also been in the car with 16 year old girl and when there was an animal crossing the road she screamed and took her hands off the wheel. This is all mainly due to the fact of driving instinct (how to react in danger) has not yet been developed. Do you ever get into a conversation with a passenger and go on "auto-pilot" where you end up at work or home? Unexperienced drivers don't yet have this, they usually interrupt the conversation to ask where to go. Or say "is this the right way?" Most of you guys also have been ignoring the fact that the law banning "non-handsfree talking" for everyone is that effective that same day. This law just says no distracting devices at all till you are 18. This is a very good idea and will hopefully save lives.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
