I really think that all of the engadget sites should discontinue the use of cyan on any of their web pages. I'm beginning to confuse your sites with AT&T or Alltel. I wouldn't use yellow, as it would be confused with Sprint/Nextel. The use of red would confuse me into thinking you were associated with Coca-cola. If you go with blue, I might think about IBM. If you switched to nothing but black, would T-Mobile get upset (since they also use black in their logo?) I think you've got problems coming up with a color that might not confuse me and other stupid consumers.
I just bought a new car. It's a 6 cylinder BMW, dual turbo-charged engine with 300hp. Unfortunately, it only had 4 spark plug wires. I went to the dealer, and asked for the other two so that I could have all of the horses available, and I was told that the car performs equal to that of many domestic american autos, and that it gets me to work just fine. When I pressed them to get the full version of the engine, I was told that instead of my top of the line 3 series, I would need to upgrade to the 5 series for a little bit of money. I pointed out that my older 3 series had a smaller engine that worked better, and while they agreed, they still said that all of the new 6 cylinder engines came with only 4 sparkplug wires, and that they would not change.

Of course, this is just a parable, but guess which brand I would NOT buy next time?
I spent about 6 months researching different cars, knew that I would have to order mine, giving me time to get the finances in order. After finally deciding to pull the trigger, I went to different dealers, but couldn't get the deal I wanted. I shifted gears, walked into a different company's dealership, drove the car for the first time, and ordered it the next week.

Sometimes, months of research gets thrown out of the window at the last minute. By the way, how many ads do you see for European cars on TV or radio? since there are so few, why are they so popular? Perhaps Google is right that online advertising is the way to go, but my choice on the car I ordered (or on the previous car I wanted) was not influenced by any advertisement at all.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
