Well, I am writing this now on a Droid just bought at the Quincy, MA walmart. They even knew they are selling it a day earlier...

So far, awesome! Keyboard is definitely something I need to get used to (or lose weight??) But otherwise I am in gadget nirvana. I posted pic @arm3n for proof ;)
Ugh, come on guys, it's affect if you would like to use it as a verb.
...very high-contrast vaporware :)
Psst, Jon Stewart is a Jew (Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz) and Anderson Cooper is openly gay.
I am sincerely shocked that The Shield, or at the very least Forest Whitaker, did not get a single nod. I am hoping the Globes won't pass this one up. I am not sure I am liking the restructured voting method.
That is most unfortunate, Wayne. Most unfortunate.
How could you have missed the ABC-HD coverage of the US-Italy World Cup match??
Boy, I sure feel dumb now being stuck with my original 60" SXRD 'TrueHD'. I guess it is the consumer's responsibility to know that when Sony's marketing monkeys shout "we do 1080p!!" they are not necessarily talking about the set's ability to have 1080p input. Methinks SED will be my next upgrade, but G-d knows I will be way more careful about the fine print.
Josh,

50% thinner would be half as thick, 99% thinner would be 1% as thick, and 100% thinner would be zero thickness.

Wii will indeed do hi-def (720p at least), they are just not aligning themselves with either HD-DVD nor BluRay (yet).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
