This is all well and good, but Microsoft and partners need to get the phones we want on the carriers that we use.

As a T-Mo subscriber, I have little choice at the moment, especially when T-Mo uses a different freq than AT&T for UMTS/HSDPA. Also, phones like the HTC Diamond aren't even quad-band GSM/EDGE! WTF?

I'm on my 3rd WinMo phone currently and would like to not have to pay as much as my laptop to get the next.
I'll take one if any are left. :)
"Just make sure you stay inside T-Mobile's coverage, ok?"

Give me a break - Tmo has decent coverage, no matter what your perception is.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
