What? $500 New will get you a celeron processor and 1GB of RAM. Not a good computer at all.
It can only have 1GB of RAM so it wouldn't run Vista Basic very well, and there's the fact the Vista requires about 30GB worth of space and the largest hard drive on it is 16GB. Kind of tough.
Jesus, all you people do is bitch. If you don't like the price then get something else. I mean, let's not pay attention to the fact that Dell makes better products than the other companies, or that the computer is still nicely priced. Oh, and let's not mention the fact that Dell never officially listed a price and all the pricing you heard was speculative (hard to miss the price, when one was never set). No, let us just bitch and moan because things didn't go the way we had them in our head. Woe is me, woe is me.

Suck it up, buy it (because most of you are going to anyway) and move on.
I'm a new father and would love to have a better printer so I can print off some new pics of my kid! (It's a girl!)
Everyone stop being such a baby. It was an error on the website it was supposed to go live tomorrow according to my inside source. (I live in Austin and have friends at Dell). It wasn't a scam, just a simple human error.

You'd think the world was ending because someone made a mistake. No one here ever makes those of course.

*facepalm
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
