@B3CU Yeah, normally I hate to nitpick, but the multiple references to "framerates per second" were kind of annoying.
@JayC If this thing truly does do nothing but run a web browser, it would be much more closed than the iPhone, or the rumored Apple Tablet (which people claim would be running some variant of the iPhone OS, and at least have some potential for apps, even if they were restricted in the same way iPhone apps are).
@Eminemdrdre00 Presumably it was going to be called the CrunchPad until the falling out with Arrington.
@(Unverified) That's really sort of a bad definition. See my response to barbaraann72 above.
@barbaraann72 That's actually sort of a bad definition. If you look at the example sentence they put in, it makes more sense: "it's bad joojoo to speak ill of others." - that is, it's BAD joojoo. If joojoo simply meant "bad luck", you of course wouldn't say it's "bad bad luck" to speak ill of others. This is a more detailed description of the origins and meanings (including pointing out the concept of both "good juju" and "bad juju": http://en.academic.ru/dic.nsf/enwiki/4155771
@Wwhat Interesting, for some reason I always assumed it was supposed to be based on an Easter Island head (although for what purpose I couldn't figure out). The actual history of it makes more sense (it didn't occur to me that the head had its top cut off).
This definitely makes the TomTom app seem more appealing; one of the things that bummed me out when it was first released was that it was missing some of the more recent features (like advanced lane guidance) that are becoming standard on the standalone TomTom devices.
Offer a way to get the games you own on UMD onto it - I know it's not feasible, but it's really the main thing keeping me from even considering upgrading from my day 1 purchase original PSP.
No Michael Anthony, No Peace. Know Michael Anthony, Know Peace.
Ahh, so they are. OK, so yeah, I meant the opposite - wish it had the classic original version of SQ1 as well in that case.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
