A 4G phone would be sweet right about now, too bad it doesn't have windows mobile though :(
This is a joke. I am living in Belleville, along the highway 401 corridor, and we are still waiting for 3G. Gimme a break.
the screen on this device is so low-res that labeling it as an awesome piece of hardware really insults my intelligence. especially coming from a site that focuses primariy on new technologies. having said this, it is nice to see projects like this one becomming more prevelant.
QVGA display and EDGE!? I just threw up a bit in my mouth :(
The Touch HD trumps this device and is available now. The N97 will drop probably by summer '09, by which time HTC will most likely have pumped out 2 or 3 new phones. This thing reminds me of an AT&T tilt with a facelift.
HP is getting really good at releasing old technology. This would have been a good competitor to the AT&T Tilt last year.
Note to ASUS: Nobody cares about QVGA devices anymore.
at PHO ^^
Billions of dollars for infrastructure, are you crazy? The only infrastructure needed is a decent 3G network. What the hell are you talking about? Are you aware that HTC has sold more of the original touch devices than apple has sold 1st gen iPhone's?
Strong market holding, i'm pretty sure WinMo kills Apple in worldwide market share hands down.
hook me up!
BTW, I will be keeping all of the loot!!
"never beat apple in the mainstream"???
HTC's first touch device beat the original iPhone in sales. And HTC's overall sales would completely crush Apple's sales figures for it's iPhone line, so please think before you talk!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
