Not that it matters or anything, but the photographyblog review was the second review I've read that says the 5D2's apearance is the same as the 5D. "...you'd be hard-pushed to tell the difference between the Mark II and Mark I if they were put side by side with the name-badge blanked out..." Eh? They have the same size and shape yes, but the design leans much more towards the current 1 series, like the pentaprism housing, which is in my opinion better looking. As I said it doesnt matter, but it irks me. That and the fact that some still think there is no AF in video.

Guess the biggest thing that irks me is that I will never be able to afford one.
"touch screens are not for gaming"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS
Darren, you must have been very sarcastic, or I just didn't understand the post.

Those speakers look great and seem to do a lot more than the average no-name brand iPhone/iPod accessories out there ("wireless" charging dock slash night light anyone?).
Why does it use the menu bar from Tiger?

Must be an old patent or an old concept only patented now.
Seems like it yeah, looking at the picture.

Still, this is a joke. for that price you could buy a few eeepc's. hell, even mod one into a tablet if you have to.
Needs more glare.
When i look at that logo, i read "wave icube". fantastic design.....
"That's ok because all viruses and worms for Windows predate Vista. Isn't that nice. Guess we don't have to worry about them though.

"Oh shit I forgot about the people still using Windows XP/2000 and those who are still using Macs from pre OS X (and yes there are people out there using old macs)."

Trying to win this 'argument' by ridiculing the opposite isn't going to work with that comment, sorry. OS 9 code only runs on OS X in 'classic' mode, which doesn't work on any intel mac.
need to see the link to my profile...

dont really like the avatars btw, wastes bandwidth unnecessarily.
@Zues the God

Ok. I'll bite. comparisons are generally useless... but i have to disagree with what you said.

Let's see:
"Equal storage" - fair enough, all though it would have been smart if Microsoft made a 160GB model as well.
"better UI" - VERY dependent on the end user. You can't claim that.
"better controls" - again, very dependent on whoever is using it. There is nothing wrong with the iPod controls. Also, whats the point of the redundant d-pad under the touch interface?
"better sound quality (if its similar to the old, which I would assume it would be)" - Maybe if you were listening to lossless music and using expensive headphones this would matter... 128 kbps? not so much.
"better construction" - can't really comment on this seeing as the Zune is only on sale in select countries and I have yet to see one never mind touch it. As far as my iPod goes, I find no fault in its quality. at all.
"larger glass scratch-resistant screen" - I agree, fact that it is glass, VERY nice. pity that they did not take advantage of the larger real estate to add some more resolution.
"wifi song/picture sharing" - hmmm. Even if my iPod had this functionality, to share songs, I would have maybe tried it once to see how it works. Honestly, I know a fair bit of people with iPods, but rarely have I met a friend and we both had our iPods on us and wished we could share some music. There are far easier, albeit illegal, methods to do this.
"wireless syncing" - I would use this feature a lot, very nice.
"lets not forget the better software" - From what I hear, I would rather forget it, thanks. Besides, said software only works on Windows, which is not the only OS in the world.
"FM radio" - I don't get why people want this at all? Huh? You are probably carrying around thousands of songs of your own choosing and yet you want to listen to the radio? If you really need to... you can pick up a stand alone fm radio for dirt cheap at any gadget/gift shop, plus it would be lighter to wear than a HDD player. So odd.

Blegh, anyway I don't really care much for the Zune, just wanted to highlight the fact that your opinion isn't fact. If I had the money to buy a new 80GB player now, I would only have one real choice anyway, until Microsoft released some software for Macintosh. It just doesn't offer any deal breakers, besides what you claim.

Now get over it. If you think the Zune is better, that's just peachy. Enjoy it. But don't claim your fanboy facts.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
