While emulation can be done & the emulators themselves are legal .
unless you the Pandora can read Playstation CD'S or N64 cartrides directly it means you are running pirated software .
Many countrys it is illegal to make copy's of software without permission .
While many of you may say you can legally make backups but those law are ancient history & in many countrys haved been changed & the only sofware where you can make backups are PC software as part of the EULA attached to it & it usally applys to backups to files installed to the harddrive .
So in the long run emulation of these software tend to be illegal wether its on a PC this PSP KIRF the Pandoria the Dingoo A380 or any other means is basically illegal .
The only real legal emulation is the Wii's Virtual Console service .

Well there's 2 things wrong with your comment.
1. The DSi have updatable firmware.
2. Even the Lite/Phat sevral firmware revisions to stop these piratecarts.
I wouldent be suprised that my Phat old Lite & New Lite each have a different firmware version.

Well there are one thing to add to it Videogames are interactive.
Unlike a movie where you just watching some guy chainsawing heads of people but in the videogame [b]yo[/b]u chainsaw the heads of everyone.
I agree with in that some game content must be controlled but not by refusuing R18+ ratings but by baning games that have the negative psychologial effects so nobody in Australia can play games like Grand Theft Auto.

There are Software that let's play Pirate rips straight off a Harddrive.
So for this update it's a must update.

I guess they don't care about Virtual Console & WiiWare as well as I Expect the Shop channel Request that you update if you want to log in.

With the iPod video & iPod touch have they both have volume limiters with passcode .
Downside with touch is that smart kids will set up passcode lock for the whole iPod with auto-format after 3 failed attempts hoping there absent minded parents will forget to set it back up again after restoring the iPod .

Pyshacal games should stills exist for smaller games that doesnt exceed 256MB .
Its one reason i find the PSPGo a joke .
An average game download apparently 512MB for many people including myself thats is not really practical with slow internet connection .
Take my connection for example its basically the slowest broadband possible plus theres only a 6GB monthly limit before the speed cut down to near dialup speed (which isnt fun when reached).
So a 512MB game not only take forever its also takes up a fair bit of the monthly bandwith allowance .

While i believe that digital distrubution is the future but currently at the moment is still far from replacing retail games .

In fact they not really hiding the Basic prompt too badly all you have to due is press reset & you can write as many Hello World programs as you want.
