No, Verizon is having theirs out in Silver and also I think no GPS either. damn VZW
Yes, I agree with this 100%. Only problem I can see with any of this is AT&T and their miserable "3G" network. I hope by the time they release iPhone 2 they can improve what they have now and expand. I would wish for 3G wherever AT&T has service, but as it is now they have spotty to non existent service in mainly major cities. AT&T's Data coverage sucks as compared to their CDMA rivals and that has got to change.
Yep, I can't wait to see this on Verizon. They'll "test" it for a year release it in 2010 with the GPS crippled out so you have to buy VZ Navigator.
This is nice news. Hopefully Garmin won't leave out obvious features or then nickel and dime you to death or hold you hostage till they feel its time for you to have them on your phone.
I'm sure Jobs will get you on the next update for this thing. I can see it now. Macbook goes away and all these features you want are on the NEW MACBOOK AIR II for $5000.
Apple didn't learn anything from the Pippin. This notebook stinks and the name stinks.
Hopefully those several thousand jobs are customer service that are outsourced.
It wouldn't shock me to see Steve Jobs playing with it at MacWorld next year. I have the first generation iPhone and got it after the price drop so I'll wait and see what pans out with this thing. Last thing i'd like to see is the NEW 16gb 3G capable iPhone that can't MMS or who knows what other simple task it won't do at $599.
They usually don't put in their eye bleeding nasty Red UI on PDAs, at least not on the older treo like the 650 I had, and I don't remember seeing it on the Blackberries, but I'm hoping they didn't cripple the GPS on this and force you to buy the Verizon GPS. They probably did disable GPS on this device knowing Big Red.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
