This phone is heavy as balls. I went in to AT&T last week to buy it and ended up getting the LG Xenon because it was more phone to use plus it weighed about a 3rd as much. My phone shouldn't feel like I'm carrying a bag of rocks in my pocket. The tech is great on this phone, but damn.
So...if this is costing $100, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no Wi-Fi now? All I read about this is that it would have Wi-Fi.
Dude I finally got to play with this phone yesterday and I'm no dying to get one. Rock!
Even that little bit we can see...I LOVE IT
I want all this stuff. I like having stuff people can't have so I'll prolly keep like 99% of it cause I'm hardcore.
I'm trying to decide between this and the HTC Touch Pro. If SE is smart they'd put it out at least the same damn month as when AT&T puts out the Touch Pro. If they don't, I don't know how long people are gonna wait for the X1 when there is a phone almost as good in the Touch Pro sitting on shelves. If the X1 is gonna be a decent amount more too, the Touch Pro is gonna own this on sales too. I can upgrade in December and unless we get an official announcement of the X1 to hit shelves some point before March 09, then I'm saying screw it and getting the Touch Pro whenever it comes out on AT&T. I've used a lot of touch screen phones, I'm a goof and will still sacrifice size to have a QWERTY keyboard.
This phone better come out on AT&T too dammit. I'm sick and tired of Verizon getting all the cool slider phones.
What happens are the North Pole...stays at the North Pole!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
