Headline fail. Skytone Alpha 680 is already the first Android. Engadget even covered it.

Most of the carriers will sell you a phone with no contract. Are they going to require that the price not be outlandish?

That would be news.

C'mon. You can't see through their thinly veiled plan to revolutionize the fashion world?

The new colors look sweet, though I still miss the slide-out keyboard. The Touch interface has almost completely redone the standard Windows Mobile tools to create a slick and finger-friendly device.

I'll bite.

So, this could theoretically expand gameplay if it were universal and developers could plan for it. Otherwise you're just trading a cable for another wrist strap and more batteries.

It sounds like a good idea, but I'm reserving judgment.
I heard that they were going to make the lights look like Super Mario, but they couldn't find a large enough building.

No qwerty? Seriously?

Are they not releasing a version with a keyboard? What's the point?

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
