I like Filene's Basement as much as I liked the original Filene's. There clothing is a little too expensive, but I could find some bargains in there.
I was in the audience of the View and talk about a fashion victim;here is someone who had her own fashion style program on the Style channel who is now a dumb blond fashion vitim. I just view her as another living brain donor (God forbid!!!)
I love my Oliver Peoples which I purchased in Soho in NYC. They were cheaper than an optician in Albany New York that I and my family did business since we moved upstate 35 years ago. When I mean cheaper,I mean over $100 cheaper than Albany. Go figure!! That is why my parents and myself refuse to do any business with anyone is Albany New York!! Frank at the Soho Oliver Peoples (who also fitted Anatasia and other celebrities)has worked with me,giving me the best advice on care, price and payment on new frames and lenses. I wanted Oliver Peoples because of their advertisements in Vanity Fair and that other LA celebrities (Elton John and Jack Osborne,Ozzy's son)wear the frames and that they make a subtle fashion statement. I also got the brown Transition lenses because I am outdoors and do a lot of walking (eg. roughly 6 miles almost every day). They are great:don't really need sunglasses and that when they become dark brown (the lenses),they change the composition of the frame!! They look different then when indoors verses outdoors with the darker lenses. I will always be an Oliver Peoples fan and will always go to Frank because of his vast knowledge and customer service.
I agree with her assessment;my mother lost money with Merril which she inherited from my grandmother (her mother). Merrill Lynch,in my opinion, should have been left to die. I am a account holder with BofA and I'm happy with the service I get;most importantly,it is the managers at the local branch that keep me happy,as well as the call center employees that work hard to keep me as a customer. I blame the boobs on here who bought too much house, who overpaid for it in the first place from greedy realtors who overinflated the asking price to make a quick buck;I blame the idiots like Billary and Killary who kept emphasizing home ownership to those WHO SHOULD NEVER OWN HOMES!!! I also blame the dumb idiots who took a ARM mortgage,KNOWING THE MORTGAGE WILL BE ADJUSTED UPWARDS IN THE RATE AFTER THE ARM LOW APR PERIOD ENDS!!! How can Americans be so stupid? The reason is;we have a Crackberry and Crackho' mentality;we only fix on the next fix and nothing else. That is why we are in the mess we are in. We let both Republicans and conservative Democrats give this country away to China, gut the whole system so that pervasive corruption persists, and that the war has brought this country close to bankruptcy!! Only YOU,NOT ME,ARE REASPONSIBLE FOR THIS MESS YOU,NOT ME,CREATED!!!
I have Polo Ralph Lauren;he is out because he is so everywhere!! Even the most lowlife wears Polo;I am into J.Crew, which I believe is more classic then Polo and on sale, more affordable. Marc by Marc Jacobs is a good line, but very pricey;at Bergdorf's a pair of cords that were originally $189 I got on sale there for $59. I love his wellies I got for under $20. But you have to look at his boutique in the village for bargains;he is in a high rent district is all owned by LVMH;fresh,Marc Jacobs and others are all owned by LVMH. I also have some great Gucci pieces as well as Ronaldus Shamask,Romeo Gigli, and Stephen Sprouse (god bless him). Also Valentino and Armani;all my pieces I bought on sale and have had 15-20 years and still fit like new. But for now,I love J.Crew. Target is good also, but all their stuff is made in China;I try to buy only made in USA or Italy.
I have the old Electrolux Olympia that someone was going to throw out about 10 years ago. NEVER HAS HAD ANY MANITENACE!! Vaccuum is over 25 years old and outcleans ANY OF THE NEW VACCUMMS INCLUDING DYSON,which is junk. I had a friend who bought one and gave it away it was that bad. I would sooner buy an Aerus/Electrolux on ebay than any of these new "junk" vaccuums made in China.
The best coffee is Barnie's out of Orlando;they are big in Florida and had two stores here in New York before they retreated down south. There espresso is richer and smoother than Starbuck's,which is bitter and overroasted. Also,up here in upstate New York, the Muddy Cup in Catskill has great coffee!! But I still prefer Barnie's,especially their Raspberries and Cream that has bits of nuts in it that is great in the burr coffee grinder. You can also find Barnie's online or at Publix.
Go back to the trailer park with your sister and take the Clintons with you BITCH!
For all you Killary lovers;you can have her and her trailer trash husband. We in upstate New York know she is a lying slut and wish she and her husband (Ha!! What a joke that farce of a marriage is!)move back to their trailer park in Arkansas.
Killary and Billary are always hiding something;remember when they left the White House they were broke? LIARS!!! Anyone involved with Killary about Whitewater ended DEAD! Coincidence? I think not!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
