I would leave for a EVDO iPhone--it would be much better than the EDGE speeds I get now.

Most of the UMTS devices I've looked at have better battery life when transmitting vs GSM (talk time), but shorter standby time.

Wow! Normally I read the comments to see if anyone has an intelligent comment on the story. Took 3 pages to get past the anti-apple-fanboys. If you don't like Apple or the iPhone, etc, why do you spend the time reading the articles and comments?

Anyways, if someone was there taking pictures of the line, why didn't they ask the people IN line why they are there? I'm going to go with the store-at-capacity explanation.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
