I am designing new UI for my touch phones with all the time...i wanted to participate *cries loud.

Well this was the phone SE lovers were waiting since November 2007...yes Nov 2007!!!
But this phone is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT so far as the leaked specs and the leaked pics are concerned.

1.People were expecting 3"/+ screen size...but it looks like 2.6/2.8"...and the screen is either qvga or vga...lets see what SE puts in it.

2.People were expecting UIQ4 with a iphone like UI...but this phone seems to have just an updated version of UIQ3 which was first released in 2006...the UI is almost same as the UI seen in phones from 2006.

3.P990 and to an extent P1 looked very professional as this phone is targetted at business users...but this phone with its shiny black mirror front looks like a girl's phone.

4.This phone doesn't have flip or jog dial,something all true P series have...it has a d pad and a slider which is common is almost all LG/Samsung sliders.

5.SE has put a 5mpx camera in it...maybe the same lousy cam as seen in k850...which is the worst in industry today.Don't know about which flash it has-led or xenon.

If SE is launching this phone,they already got beaten by N96..or the touch S60 from nokia which will come when paris reaches the shops.


And the blog from where this is taken is from a very rude guy called michelle bak or something...a big time SE fanboy who will pounce on anyone who dares say anything bad about SE....LOL...i know u r reading this miz.He,in order to increase the traffic to his blog,has said that he will put 2 more photos of this phone in the coming days in this week...and maybe a video next week.Why am i writing this here?coz he will delete my comments in his blog.

@james,Yeah,i have seen the xperia...NOT IMPRESSED.i was a fanfoy of SE(loved their T310,K700)so bought the P990 even though i read that the phone was not stable because i trusted SE to release firmware updates to fix the phone no matter what just like all their models so far.P990 promised many things... but the camera gives out blurry pics,music is faint,low ring volume,web browser shuts down if even 3 tabs are opened,very poor multitasking(not even 2 applications at once),and the worst of all...phone reboots at times for need of more RAM!!!sometimes during a call(thank god SE fixed this)...oh just visit esato and search for P990...u will see a thousand members complaining about that.

And the SE said they were stopping more firmware updates for P990 coz "THEY" think that the phone is stable..but if you dont like P990,spend another 600$ and buy a P1.EVERY SINGLE P990 OWNER FELT CHEATED.SE even had to remove some of the features said in the white paper of P990 in order to avoid more humiliation.
Even a public apology from SE would have worked.

You are talking about xperia??Lol...talk about P(next)..the phone from SE with uiq4 with 5mpx cam,many more features than those found in xperia,with ipone like interface etc.Will i buy this phone even if it pawns every other phone in the market??NO...SE treated me bad with the P990.Not going to buy another phone from SE no matter how good it may be.

Imagine SE P990 was so bad,that a SE fanboy is forced to abandon SE and venture out to anything NOT SE.

Am fed up of my Sony ericsson P990....Crapiest phone..shuts down when opening 2 applications at once... and Sony says its fine...LMAO.
Never again will i buy a Sony phone.

Motorola mobile looks like in deeper waters then it seems...read in Economic Times(India) that their senior most software guy(responsible for all mobile softwares)quit along with many others in R&D of Motorola India.

Their UI was crap and they relied too much on the thin flips...
