I believe these were original fixed wimax Clearwire markets. It was relatively simple to upgrade them to mobile.

I Don't....as annoyed as I am at Sling, I don't wish it to get rejected only because that also hurts everyone who was planning on purchasing it and wants to watch their slingbox on their Iphone.

Many businesses require that remote wipe be available on any phones they give to their employees(especially smart phones) so I would expect it to exist with Windows Mobile somehow or it wouldn't be good for enterprise use.

EVDO Rev A is 3g. I usually experience speeds 800kbps to 1mbps on my treo 800w. I haven't checked the latency.

Schools stopped paying for it after 2006. There was no reason for any school to pay for it after that point since it was free for any .edu email address.

The no new HD thing is kinda harsh considering by December 5th their adding Scifi, USA, Bravo, CNBC and Golf HD.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
