That isn't even playing catchup. It looks almost identical to current Symbian Touch in terms of usage experience. Maybe they will at least follow common sense and lessen the need for double clicks and make the application menu more intuitive and less maze-like. Oh, and completely overhaul the development experience so you can just jump right in like you can with the iPhone.
I want one for my N900! Sounds like the N900 doesn't have the horsepower though (and I have no idea if it can act as a USB host).
Fun. But what I'd like to see is some Windows or Linux drivers that actually have more gesture support than your average mouse. I was disappointed that I couldn't get this thing and access expose with a gesture.
Kinda cool. I just bought a CarChip for $80 that basically does the same thing, but instead of outputting the data to a GPS it saves it in memory so you can hook it up to your computer and examine the data from there. Sure, there are cheaper devices to read OBD error codes, but if I'm buying something to do that, I figure I might as well get something that I'll use more than a few times when my check engine light goes on.
Exactly. I had a 4G apple, and the flat side made the chrome back scratch-prone, but not horribly. But with the new ones having a curved back, there's no way they can't get scratched to hell unless you take them _directly_ from the packaging to a skin. After I had my iPod Touch for a few days I couldn't believe it was already scratched to hell on the back, far worse than my 4 year old 4G.
The model number on the Sega Saturn lighter gives it a whole different level of geek cred.
It sounds good, but you'll probably still have a big old warning telling you your warranty is void if you don't use their charger or a computer (not that they'll be able to tell).
With both companies being American, this doesn't seem like just a Windows 7 promotion and a publicity stunt, but them making fun of America's obesity problem
Ugh. I hate these people that complain about how much they hate mac lovers and mac haters...

The moral is: ignore them. You're always going to have to deal with the kid using the F-bomb every five seconds on XBox live, the loud asshole on his phone, or the blind idiot who thinks he is right simply because it's what he thinks.
Where's Vista?

*cries*
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
