I knew somehow Verizon would sabotage their own Droid launch. I just knew it. And what a perfect way, an ETF scandal to scare people away.
This is just too late. This was very interesting in 2007, but now.....not so much.
I still don't really see the point of Vertu. I see plenty of pics of the rich and famous in the magazines just carrying a blackberry or iphone. Who does this appeal to if not them?
Unless some other company keeps funding them and funding them, I don't see how they'll be able to continue operating for much longer.
That's an interesting positioning of the products......it pretty much pits the iPod nano against the Zune HD, both as players without apps, and then positions the iPod Touch more as above those as a portable computer that runs applications. Didn't expect that.
Apparently it does have everything but the screen, which makes it kind of redundant, but whatever.
RIM..... sigh. Just put a freakin' capacitive touchscreen on there. People who want the experience of physical buttons are going to buy a Curve.
Well, part of the extra cost is because these electronics have to be able to work under more rigorous conditions. These rigs have to be able to endure constant vibration while working, extreme heat, extreme cold, and still start right up just like the rest of the car.
Is their target market women who want to live in a dreamy world, sort of the like the Dasani commercials? Weird.
Is traffic available on this? Even though it's a one-time fee, I'm guessing we'll still have to pay $60 yearly for map updates? So for $200 including the cradle, or $100 for just the software, with a $60 yearly charge, this is seeming a bit much. People say the AT&T nav is expensive, but that one is $120 per year, includes traffic, and the maps are continually updated.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
