Or he could of just used the butt of that shotgun to smack that big ass On-Star antenna right off the roof of that Tahoe.
How could you miss Bobby Darin's rendition of "Beyond the Sea" released in 1959?
@Prokanda - How do you figure? 100 British Pounds Sterling is $164. Add on to that $100 for the application. That's getting a little pricey even for a TomTom.
So if you have your phone in a case of some sort, you need to remove it before using this. That's a pain. Granted it would be difficult to accommodate all cases...but none?
When the Brits learn how to make an automotive gasket that doesn't leak like a sieve then they can put lasers in my car.
My sister-in-law had a SAAB. Most unreliable POS on the planet. Based on her reaction to numerous issues she had with her car, perhaps the investigators should be looking at arson? I know the thought crossed her mind more than a few times.
Actually they aren't trying to convince people of that. The technical release that people keep quoting as a response was put out way before this "issue" started hitting the web. Its been over 100F pretty much constantly for the last couple of weeks here in Texas. I went bike riding with some friends one of whom left his iPhone in the car (probably got to 120F-140F), he got the "Too Hot" message on his screen when he turned his phone on. Mine that I carried with me worked just fine no problems at all.
Instead of changing the connector on the device, why don't they standardize the connector on the charger? Make the charger have a USB connector then I can use whatever USB cable I want and whatever charger I want for ANY device that charges over USB. Standardizing the connector on the phone is of little help to consumers as most consumers only have one phone. So now they can use ANY charger on their ONE phone, big deal! I'd rather use one charger for ALL my electronic devices, not just phones. As for the micro connector, I've got micro-USB connectors on my Kindle and my Mophie Juice Pack air for my phone. So far my initial impression is the connector sucks. In a poorly lit room its very difficult to tell which way is up on the connector so invariably I try to plug it in upside down. Mini-USB much nicer. On the plus side I look forward to all the new cable options that the market will provide......finding a Micro-USB cable under 6ft in a brick and mortar store is impossible at the moment.
Actually.....my house is in the central Austin 10 minutes from downtown and at my house due to the hill which side it sits upon and the metal roof the house has, there is effectively no signal whatsoever inside, FORM ANY CARRIER. I'd be tempted to get this or a zBoost. As it is if I don't remember to put my phone in plane mode it loses 50% of its charge. within a few hours . Yeah....the metal roof sounded great when I decided to have it installed.
Actually #3 on your list was the probably the reason why Apple chose AT&T. For a first release phone product AT&T was the ONLY choice. AT&T is as you stated is not only GSM, but it is the only GSM carrier in the US whose network is compatible with the rest of the world's GSM networks. Choosing AT&T meant Apple could release one HW product and use that platform for much of the rest of the world doing only SW (language) tweaks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
