I had the first gen iPhone until I upgraded to the iPhone 3Gs. I have used both devices primarily in Los Angeles, Chicago, South Florida and Honolulu and have negligible dropped calls. In Chicago on the 3Gs there was a lot of dropping into Edge. Otherwise all has been good.

I promise you I hate ATT but because I think the plans are unnecessarily expensive and it took a million years to activate MMS and get a top five program.

The beauty of the phone is its integration. Nothing else compares when you want to integrate your music, pictures, movies, email and web.

Phones I was using prior to the first gen iPhone was a Nokia E61i and a Nokia N95. Solid phones, but not even close to the iPhone for ease of use and integration. I've looked at the Pre and HTC devices, but none of them seem to have the integration down as well plus you get 75k apps. IMO, it's no contest.
Booya. I'd like a wireless modem please.
It's not about being first, when others had it for years. It's about having it better and easier to use.
I am very interested to see eye-fi and lexar CF Wifi memory cards. Also interested to see the Tag Heuer cell phones.

"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
