As am I -- T-Mobile's press release was sparse on these units.
Because that'd make us a monthly magazine.

Don't get me wrong, "Engadget: The Magazine" would be pretty awesome.
Interestingly, Engadget isn't what I'd call a "news blog" in the strictest definition of the phrase. Peruse a few pages and I think you'll find we offer an exciting mix of news, color, and opinion.
The difference, of course, is that I've written 1.4 million words on Engadget and my posts don't go through a comprehensive testing cycle.
I deleted it because you used a derogatory term that we don't allow on the site. If you want to republish the comment and call the publication "uneducated" without using the other word you threw in there, you're welcome to do so.
The tools are Java-based -- Eclipse, for instance. No Java in Ares as far as we can tell.
I personally prefer soft keyboards, yes, and I'll admit that I'm fastest on an iPhone -- but just barely. Hardware keyboards are a matter of personal taste... I love the CLIQ's, for example, but I know several people who hate it (like Josh).
And let me just nip it in the bud: I know I screwed up the phrase.
"Repurpose" was added to Merriam-Webster in 1984. I'm afraid that gives it authority that considerably outstrips your own anachronistic view of the language.
That's interesting, because I just described something being repurposed in this post.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
