I am a Canadian living in US now. Man, even I am Canadian, can those live in Canada stop whining about high prices?? gosh.. Canada has 1/10 of the population and much smaller market. The cost of doing business is higher than US. C'mon, just common sense the price is higher. I don't think anyone is deliberately charge higher price. If they do, someone can always undercut their prices. It's a free market!
LTE? They don't even have the draft standard ready till Sept 2007. After that, it may take another 2-3 years to develop, trial, deploy.. etc. WiMax already is a standard and already deployed.
I freaking hate iTunes 7 nowdays.. It is painfully slow compare to other software on XP (ie, winamp, foobar, media monkey). It breaks the DAAP protocol that other has been supported with new fields. So now I can't share my music with other devices. Did I mention the it's painfully slow now compare to previous version?
I just got mine. I kinda skeptical before due to the price. However, I am pretty satified with it. HP does a good job putting all the piece together compare to HTC product. ( I use a 8125, and SPV before). It has everything I need.
Now think of it, the price is not bad for an unlocked phone with BT/Wifi/GPS/EDGE/Quad-Band (SE P990 has even higher price, Treo still $500 unlocked with no gps). The software come with is top notch as well. The Phone Data Manager can configure the phone automatically (all data settings) after SIM card is inserted (good for oversea trip!). Also, it has a VPN solution, it has the driver for LEAP! Finally I can use it at work! Amazing! I never use a handheld with such business like features...
I think you have to pay a little more premium to get a nice intergrated product with so many features. This is a keeper!
I want a GSM version! I hate CDMA!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
