The Best Buy Mobile at my local store (Oklahoma City) would not sell me the Droid today, they told me to come back tomorrow.
Chris,

Whats your opinion on why there is no Android phone on AT&T and not even a sign that one is coming? [iPhone maybe?]

Thanks,

Shawn
Winning this grab bag would take some of the sting out of the bad economy.
@CT - thanks for the info and the blog reading help. You are very kind.
Is ESPN actually going to show this on ESPN or put it on ABC?
I am excited to see another Android phone coming out and particularly excited that ATT is getting into the game. I agree with the commenters that the screen resolution (and size) is disappointing. ATT and HTC are capable of and need to turn out a higher resolution screen. No excuse in the middle of 2009 for a phone with this resolution.

Michael,

You assume that consumers are going to have the same reaction to the
commercial as you - a brilliant thinker, seasoned tech analyst and gadget junky. No way. The
people I have talked, who are immersed in tech, like the pitch and
actually see the value proposition. Wes is exxagerating to make a
point, nonethless, the point is made.

Chris,

I enjoy you and Sean on the podcast. Two questions on the phone:

1. US 3G Bands? ( I assume not but want to be sure)

2. Resistive or Capacitive touchscreen?

Thanks,

Shawn Roberts
I assuming no 3G from this post and the fact that is RIM?
This sounds like a great giveaway, thanks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
