I could really use an upgrade to my Motorola V180!
So, I sold my house in sunny South Florida to take a job promotion in dirty Jersey only to have the company close it's doors 3 months later. Now I just sit in my apartment and play Xbox, and these games I have are getting pretty stale. (I'm looking at YOU Burger King's Hide n Sneak!)
Actually, the OZ2 is slated for release sometime next year after they "revise" the device since it's obviously outdated at this point. The reason we're seeing these pics now is because Pantech submitted this to the FCC back in April and the confidentiality agreement on the pictures has run out this month.
Agreed. SKT knows what their doing. For example, Virgin is about to unleash an $80 unlimited plan for example. Combine that with the probability of the Ocean 2 releasing around the same time and all the dead weight they just cut. Should result in some pretty good profits by year's end.
@Chris A

I have a Java SSH client on my Ocean.. had it for a while now, there's actually quite a bit of homebrew apps for it.
The fact that the MicroSD slot is under the battery shows that they're reducing the thickness. Manufacturers pull this inconvenient tactict in order to save a few cm.

If it's not touchscreen, they should at least throw a trackball on there for easier navigation. Also, with the position of the camera, it makes me think they're trying to make it smaller overall (which is counter productive if we're hoping for a bigger screen)
People need to realize two things. 1, Wireless companies tend to report negative earnings within the first 5 years of their life. 2, SK Telecom has pretty deep pockets and they are very interested in ensuring their presence in the US market. Whatever they've lost this far it's still cheaper than building out their own network.
I don't understand why anyone would get this for $119 when they can get the same exact service on the same exact network for $99 through HELIO. In fact it's more coverage because you can roam for free on Verizon through HELIO and it includes unlimited GPS!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
