Winmo 6.1 often "exhibits harmful behavior and unforseen effects" on my HTC Fuze. I wish there was a kill switch for it (besides the power button). Winmo is a sorry excuse for a phone OS. For now I'm stuck with it for another 8 months.
A nostalgic day to be sure! I cut my teeth on RF engineering planning and optimizing AMPS networks. AMPS always beat the pants off of D-AMPS or GSM for voice quality but it sure chewed up the bandwidth and left a lot to be desired for features. It was good for one thing, making voice calls, and in a well optimized network it did it better than anything around today.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
