Keep in mind the Preware app is just using a feed of PreCentral's apps
I'm the developer of the desktop installer. YES, non-standard apps like MyTether, Flashlight, Terminal, etc. WILL be able to be installed in the Pre with WebOS Quick Install. Slightly different install method, but I will be writing a guide on how to install those programs in a day in or so. :)
The Centro batteries don't have the internal power saving chip that the Pre batteries does have. So in all likelihood, Ceentro batteries will work, but you'll find they drain faster
Actually, once "up swipe" brings to card view. 2nd "up swipe" will bring up launcher.

Or you can just hit center button and "up swipe"
Ignore the guy saying there's QuickOffice for the Pre. There isn't as far as I know.

What it does have, is built-in DocumentsToGo. The built-in version is only a viewer, but there will be an upgrade around the time of the Pre's launch that will enable creation and editing.
Something about this seems to scream "photoshop"

Plus, considering the Pre doesn't even support Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger, it seems strange it'd debut in their low-class device.
In the first have of the year. Anytime from tomorrow til the end of June. Some people say July, but that's based on a contest that mentions the could could be evilvered as late as July, which simply means H1 of 2009
Hmmm...or could it be that AT&T is treating their workers worse than ever due to over-severe reactions to the economy. I don't know the full situation, but I'm willing to hear both sides before judging 'em
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
