I remember reading an interview with someone at HTC that said the chin was to help protect the trackball without recessing it to the point it's hard to use (like the pearl flip), so then Why the fuck is there a chin on this thing, and the biggest yet at that?!
of course if he really is referring to the icons, then I completely agree with, you if that's all you can complain about I guess that's a good thing
I think he is refering to the fact that the icons take up so much of the screen real estate, not the icons themselves
I was thinking it looked like an uglier version of the BB Curve, but I guess it does look more like the Q9m/Q9c
so since it's done randomly I can just put whatever I want huh...uh well I'll keep it simple, browsing engadget. Or maybe use it to power some robot...no no..just probably sit on my ass and read engadget.
UMB or Ultra Mobile Broadband, is a 4G spec from Qualcom, I'm not aware of anyone that has announced that they will use it though. I also though I remember reading somewhere that WiMax wasn't declared 4G but 3.5G or something, am I wrong on that?
I'm sure this isn't meant as a replacement to their cable lines. It's probably meant as a supplement. AT&T and Verizon can offer landlines and wireless internet through their cellular networks. With this Comcast, and Time Warner can have a way to offer wireless Internet to their road warrior customers without them searching for a hotstop, and get that much more money out of people.
I would never put Windows on my perfectly good Linux Machine
"I've felt less uncomfortable in leaving my glasses home."

Won't work for me I'm as blind as a bat. If I left my glasses at home I would end up disconnected from any gadgets I remember to bring with me simply because I couldn't see them. Not to mention the discomfort I would get from probably driving my car into someone's house thinking I was still on the road.
Great now I have to vote myself down for double posting!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
