Those side mirrors make me sad. All that extra drag and puff to save a few bucks on cameras (a rebate consumers will never see).
Translation: we will sell iPhones just as soon as Apple agree that we are right, in control and calling all the shots.
I'm sure that will happen anyday.
and are data prices will send folks running back to any other carrier.
Bad play IMOP, people don't generally have a problem with their iPhone but AT&T and their coverage and prices are all pretty universally reviled, going after them is smart going after the handset is probable going to get a much more luke warm response.
It's just backwards, they should be crediting us to use our bandwidth and take load off their network broken lame ass network.
Half as much? To be beef up their POS service that they are already charging me through the nose for, and use my bandwidth that I already pay a pretty dam high premium on?

FUCK THAT SHIT, they should be paying US to deploy these things.
Wow outstanding, only 3 years to late when the whole thing is tottering ready to fall over dead. Pretty much the new definition of too little to late.
First direct tv now dish? You gotta wonder what is going on with the whole MCE team. Could just be the online tv integration is pissing off the partners but seems like something a lot more.
I was going to dump direct tv for dish of they came out with media center integration. Aw well back to the drawing board.
Ugh seriously? Direct TV dropped MCE tuner development for this crack dream by committee? Sigh. I'm sure they will produce something stunningly over priced, barely functional, riddled with DRM to the point of uselessness, and just in time for my 5 year old to have graduated college.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
