ATT has milked the Iphone for all its worth, good for them. Now that Verizon has itself a very impressive stable of smart phones they can really give it to ATT, which of course is exactly what they are doing. ATT has had three years to beef up thier network and the results are sub par at best. I used the Iphone 3GS for a week and, here in NY, I can attest that their service is pathetic. As it goes with competition, one can only hope that these ad's prompt ATT to get going and really put some muscle into improving thier service. The end customer will be the winner, eventually.
I gotta say, from the looks of that Video it seems like this is a major dissapointment. Why Nokia cant figure out how to include capacitive displays on thier high end phones is a mystery. Even HTC is updating Winmo to capacitive. If this is the phone to save Nokia, it would seem it is a fail.
I have the S2 and this guy is a freeking pansy if the keyboard gives his thumbs cramps. Give me a break. I can fly on this thing. It is 100 times better than the original and after all is said and done, that wasnt so bad either.
It doesnt turn the Iphone into anything other than a dsiplay for the attached chemical sensor. Give me a break.
The average person wont know what the hell this commercial is for. I just watched it with my brother in law and he thought it was a movie preview.
Hey Engadget, do you have a 48 time delay on releasing "news"? This was on crackberry two days ago.
Will they increase the memory to 256 on the bold? Will they up the memory on the current black version? Why not just release the 9700 in both white and black? Where am I and what am I doing here?
Nice phone. Who ever decided that VZW TV was worthy of a dedicated button is an idiot abd should be fired.
A bit off topic, but if I were running a company and preparing a hail mary product to save my company I would have made sure that the battery life was excellent and that it had plenty of on board memory. How Palm missed these two points I guess explains why they are in the shape they are in.
I stand corrected. Its a $10.00 hunk of plastic.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
