I upgraded from a Motorola Razr V3C to the LG Scoop out of sheer curiosity and the "FINALLY Alltel is carrying a semi-cool phone!".

The camera is horrible..HORRIBLE! The Razr will take the pic immediately but with the Scoop one must remain still for about a second or two after you hear the "click" sound on the camera. Plus, the lighting is a lot worse...it just can't compare to the Razr..and the Razr doesn't even have flash with the camera!

Also, sometimes there is a significant lag on the QWERTY keyboard..it takes a while for it to catch up..usually having you retype whatever you have been trying to key in. You don't even have to be typing that quickly...sometimes even slow typing will be VERY delayed.

Battery goes dead very quickly..I knew this going into getting the phone (toted 180 min. talk time) where the Razr is much higher. I didn't know how this would translate in having the phone/using it daily until I tried it for myself. Probably about one day of use needs a full recharge...I could get away with 2 days on the Razr.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
